Top 20 Heaven-lezers
In het nieuwe nummer van Heaven staat de lijst met de twintig beste albums volgens onze lezers. Dust Chaser van VanWyck is de absolute favoriet, gevolgd door Deeper Well van Kacey Musgraves en Woodland van Gillian Welch & David Rawlings. Alle inzenders bedankt. Alle ingezonden lijstjes staan hieronder.

Ook dit jaar vroegen we lezers via onze site en nieuwsbrief of ze hun lijstjes met tien beste albums van het jaar wilden insturen. De deadline lag op 11 november en dat is natuurlijk best vroeg, wat sommige inzenders ook wel aangaven. Niet alleen verschijnen er dan nog albums, soms heb je tijd nodig om een al verschenen album op waarde te schatten. Toch namen 39 mensen de moeite hun lijstje in te sturen.
De voorkeuren liepen zoals gebruikelijk uiteen, al leek er meer overeenstemming te zijn dan vorig jaar. Zeker wat betreft de nummer 1: met tien vermeldingen en 73 punten steekt Dust Chaser van VanWyck ver boven de rest uit. Wat onze keuze om haar op het omslag van het voorgaande nummer te plaatsen met terugwerkende kracht volledig rechtvaardigt. Of zou het andersom hebben gewerkt? In dat geval profiteert Joan As Police Woman helaas niet van het cover-effect, maar ook haar album is prachtig.
